Ask a questionA robot or android painting named "TESS." Acrylic on hardboard panel, mounted to a cradled wood panel. Painting size 9x12, overall size is 11x14. Depth is 1.5 inches. Gloss varnish. Original painting, not a print. Price includes shipping in the United States. Ready to hang, no frame needed. TESS was inspired by the science fiction book, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" written by Philip K. Dick. TESS stands for Tactical Edge Security Systems. And I could see her being used in many different applications of security and surveillance for police/military operations. In order for her to function independently she will have to be as close to sentient as possible. The hubris of humanity is the idea that we can "control" her. The depiction of TESS in this painting is the aftermath of some kind of violent action and the resulting aftermath. How will she feel about it? Will she be willing to participate again. How will she react when she learns that the meat-sacks were the cause of her damage and possible pain.
